Barry Carter

Barry was born in Nottingham. He moved to East Yorkshire in the 1960’s, studying portraiture and figure painting at York Art School for many years. He became a full time painter in 1992 and now mainly concentrates on landscapes. His work is about the pleasure he feels at being in the landscape. He returns again and again to favourite places to take in the endless changes of mood and light.
