Situated in the market place of the Old Town area of Bridlington, East Yorkshire, Gallery Forty-Nine occupies two floors of a Georgian listed building and has four exhibition spaces with an exciting range of paintings, sculpture, jewellery and ceramics by contemporary British artists. We regularly display original work by Yorkshire-based artists Sharon Winter, Claire West, Giuliana Lazzerini, Lynne Roebuck, Barry Carter and Shirley Vauvelle.
In our ‘print gallery’ we regularly stock limited edition prints by celebrated artists such as Sir Peter Blake (including prints from the popular 'Homage to Damien Hirst' series), Sir Terry Frost, Barbara Rae and Alan Davie. We also stock David Hockney's East Yorkshire poster prints, some of which are rare editions, and a number of limited edition etchings both signed and unsigned. We also recently began exhibiting lithograph prints by contemporary artists Carry Akroyd and Mark Hearld.
Our friendly staff are well-informed and are always happy to talk with you about the artists' work.
